Moyes laments injury crisis

Everton manager David Moyes believes the club's current injury crisis is the worst he has ever known.

The news that captain Phil Neville had suffered a setback in his comeback and needed surgery to correct the problem, appears to have tipped Moyes over the edge.

The former Preston North End manager said in the build-up to Wednesday's Premier League clash at Hull City: "It started to wear me down on Friday when I heard Phil was going to need an operation.

"At the moment it's a struggle but in the past we've done it, and I'm sure we'll do it again. It's by far the worst injury list I've had as a manager but what's the point in me coming out and saying that?

"I'm sure there are managers who've had far more than me. You just have to get on with it and we will do.

"We've no wide players right now, and we have players who have to come out as we feel we've overplayed them.

"We're trying to introduce new players to the team as well but we've also got suspensions, which you get. When you get a job in the Premier League it's all about trying to get sides who can win games."
